Ping Sonar Altimeter and Echosounder
The Ping Sonar is a single beam echosounder that measures distances up to 100 meters underwater. A 25 degree beam width, 300 meter depth rating, and an open-source software interface make it a powerful tool for marine robotics. Can connect directly to the Navigator Flight Controller. For USB connections, we recommend connecting with the BLUART USB to Serial and RS485 Adapter!
Ping360 Scanning Imaging Sonar
The Blue Robotics Ping360 is a mechanical scanning sonar for navigation and imaging. It has a 50 meter (165 foot) range, 300 meter (984 foot) depth rating, and an open-source software interface that makes it a capable tool for ROV navigation and underwater acoustic imaging. The Ping360 comes with everything needed for use on the BlueROV2
Sonoptix ECHO Multibeam Imaging Sonar
The Sonoptix ECHO is a high performance multibeam imaging sonar at a game-changing price point. Its dual frequency capability provides fine resolution at short ranges and imaging at long ranges up to 200 meters. An intuitive, cross-platform user interface and pre-installed penetrator and connectors make it easy to get started! Requires an Ethernet Switch for use on the BlueROV2.
Water Linked DVL A50
Water Linked’s doppler velocity logs (DVLs) provide accurate velocity measurements for your vehicle, enabling position holding and autonomous navigation capabilities in the BlueROV2 and other vehicles. The DVL A50 is the world’s smallest DVL and operates from 5 cm to 50 m above the seabed at depths up to 300 m. The DVL A125 is larger and more capable, extending the range to 125 m with a 600 m depth rating. Both have a ±1% long term accuracy. Water Linked DVL A50 Mounting Bracket
This stainless steel bracket holds the Water Linked DVL A50 or A125 on the BlueROV2, raising it so that the minimum distance to the seafloor is always greater than 5 cm and the DVL is able to maintain an accurate position at all times. It comes with all necessary mounting hardware.
